The second pack of Haze DLC is now live!

The second instalment of Downloadable content is now available on the Playstation Network for Haze. The pack contains the following:

Relit versions of the following maps: "Nectar caves" (night), "Shanty town" (late evening) and "Missile launcher" (dawn)
Domination mode on all Destruction Pack maps
New multiplayer maps using single player environments "Copper plant", "Shanty town tank" and "Air support"
One completely new multiplayer map called "Beach"

So log on to the PSN to download the pack now!

Derek Littlewood Interview

First Haze Reviews

Haze has been first reviewed by Famitsu and PSM Italy. The game received 34/40 in the famous Japanese magazine and scored an astonishing 9/10 in PSM.

The game release is closing on quickly now, Haze will be available in stores on May 23rd. It’s time to fight the good fight!

Haze Demo Now Available

The Haze demo is out! Available exclusively on the PLAYSTATION®Network, this playable demo gives gamers a taste of not only the single-player campaign in Haze, but also allows for up to four-player, drop-in drop-out co-op play online, via LAN or even 2 player split-screen. The demo is now available across Europe, and will go live on 8^th May in the U.S.

	The ‘Lobo’ (Wolf) The Lobo is the standard rifl e for most militia groups across the world, and with good cause. With a quick-load double-ended magazine and a large clip size, it’s the ideal weapon for both attack and suppression.
	The ‘Oso’ (Bear) This shotgun may be a little rough round the edges, but it still packs a punch. With a slightly larger clip size than its mantel counterpart, the Oso’s extra cartridges can make all the difference in a close-quarters firefight.
	The ‘Mano del Dios’ (Hand of God) A massive bullet capacity and surprisingly light weight makes this minigun the stuff of nightmares for anyone up against it. Not to be messed with.
The ‘Razor Tongue’ This classic hunting knife can be used to slash or throw. The rebels can even smear the blade in Nectar by selecting it before making a Nectar Grenade. With Nectar on the blade, the Razor Tongue will cause any Mantel trooper to Overdose. The ‘Dragón de la Gente’ (The People’s Dragon) A practical, portable fl amethrower with a comparatively long reach, a few sweeps with this fi ery weapon can be enough to clear a room in a matter of seconds. The ‘Aguila’ (Eagle) This sniper rifl e carries fewer rounds than the Mantel equivalent, but what it lacks in number it makes up for in power. A deadly piece of hardware. ‘MalaFruta’ (BadFruit) Old school, but that doesn’t mean they don’t hurt. Filled with a combination of steel chippings and high explosives, these grenades are just as dangerous as Mantel’s own. ‘Nectar Grenades’ Made on-the-fl y by strapping a Nectar Administrator onto a standard grenade, this explosive spreads a thick cloud of yellow Nectar gas across the area. Any Mantel soldier stuck in the cloud will Overdose.

FUSE 07 Takes To The Stage

FUSE 07, the UK’s key gaming and music event, has been confirmed to take place at the legendary Shepherds Bush Empire on Friday 2nd November. As part of London Games Festival, Fuse 07 is the only collaboration that brings together fans of music and videogames and will build on the success of FUSE 06, which was held last year in Newbury.

FUSE 07 will bring together two thousand gaming and music fans and a host of stars under one roof. The event will see some of the UK's most skilled gaming clans fight it out in a tournament final.

An incredible ‘Gibson Battle of the Bands’ competition is to launch imminently giving unsigned bands across the country the chance to play on the night. These winners will play alongside an established headline act.

“The cross over between games and music is an obvious one. FUSE events help to provide something exciting and fun for the gaming community and a wider audience.” said Phil Brannelly, Senior Ubisoft Brand Manager.

Attendees will also get the chance to play yet to be released titles from Ubisoft.

Eurogamer have an exclusive look at a level on Haze with Dave Doak talking through what's happening on the game and the different playing styles for both Mantel and the Promise Hand. It lasts about six minutes and shows an entirely new level, never before seen. As Eurogamer say, "This is one of the latter stages from the game, after you as Shane Carpenter have defected from the global mega-force Mantle, and joined the Rebel forces resisting them."

Be sure to read up on Gamespot's Haze preview. Here is a quick snippet of what they have to say about the game:

"After playing through the Games Convention demo of Haze yesterday, today we met with Free Radical Design's David Doak and managed to get a little more info on the game. For starters, we've learned that Nectar is an even more potent drug than we realized. It doesn't just block out dead bodies from Mantel troopers' vision, it tricks the troopers into thinking that every battle they fight takes place on a sunny day in paradise. Promised Hand rebels on the same battlefield will see things as they really are, and could well be trudging through mud on a rainy day, or fighting in a village that's been all but destroyed in previous battles--none of which will be apparent to the troopers"
